Greg has a long history with the organisation, beginning his career in 1997 as a service technician at the Queensland branch. After a successful few years, he relocated south to head up the Vermeer Victoria Service and Parts Departments. Here, Greg developed his own effective management style and a deep understanding of Trenchless practitioners needs and unique challenges.
Returning again to the Queensland dealership, following an extensive Factory Certification program in 2005, Greg applied his experience to the Queensland Service and Parts Departments. His close ties to the Trenchless Industry led him to pursue a Product Specialist and Sales role where he was again promoted to his current undertaking as State Manager.
This experience in all facets of the business made Greg the ideal choice to lead Vermeer into the future. Mr Clayton said, “With some very interesting product developments on the HDD horizon, including our latest release RATT Tooling, I am thankful for another opportunity to grow relationships with Vermeer’s current and future customers. Vermeer is a strong organization, with superior quality machinery and we plan to build on that with our dedication to customer service and support”.
Vermeer has its origins in the USA in 1948, where founder Gary Vermeer grew the organisation from a 1 person Iowa operation to its current standing as a global leader with over 100 dealerships, more than 2,000 manufacturing personnel and a reputation for strength.
