The summit – sponsored by TenderSearch – assembled fifteen tendering experts who shared their knowledge and experience while delivering a combination of presentations and case studies.
In just two days, the summit explained how to seek out, negotiate, respond to and win more profitable business. Run by Association and Communications Events and chaired by Judy Hurditch of Intermedium, the conference was attended by a range of company managers and executives as well as lawyers and solicitors.
Delegates enjoyed papers presented on topics such as identifying future trends in tendering and procurement, understanding legal and probity issues, essential negotiation and presentation skills, incorporation social responsibility into tender submissions, how to protect intellectual property and how to build client relationships to identify their needs and deliver best-fit solutions.
Discovering what should be emphasised when structuring a bid and gathering information within a tight time frame as well as learning practical project management tips and identifying potential tender targets was also discussed at the summit.

The conference wrapped up on Tuesday with a four-hour practical masterclass designed to examine the tendering process from start to finish including how tenders are evaluated after submission.
The two days allowed delegates to network with other buyers and suppliers involved in procurement and tenders, while also enjoying a lavish buffet lunch and delightful afternoon teas. Drinks were provided on Monday night to give attendees a chance to relax and unwind after a day of informative presentations.
Attendees left the summit, not only with a wealth of knowledge preparing them for their next tender, but also with a folder of notes and a book regarding methods of improving business practice and success.
