Melbourne in September used to mean one thing; footy. Now, it has a second meaning as well, Trenchless Technology. Building on the success of Trenchless Australasia 2008, the next great event has been planned for Grand Final week, September 20-22 in Melbourne in 2009. Not only that, the event will take place at Melbourne Park which is only metres away from the hallowed turf of the MCG.
The 2008 event showed how the industry has matured, and demonstrated the increasing interest in the Australasian trenchless industry from utilities and asset owners across the board. It also made clear the increasing international interest in Australia and New Zealand. The 2009 event will build on this. More details will be available soon but among the things being planned are; an increased focus on training, forums on issues such as local government, water and tunnelling, hands-on demonstrations and more.

The event will also recapture the positive and social atmosphere that so many delegates commented on in 2008, this time expect a number of Melbourne themed events. The Call for Papers will soon go out and not longer after that the exhibitor and sponsorship prospectus will be available. These sold out in record time last year, so be sure to book your space as soon as you are able. Registration is expected to open closer to the date.
