Preparations are well advanced and registrations are growing for the next ASTT seminar. Scheduled to take place at the Sydney Marriott on Friday, March 9 the seminar coincides with the Australian Water Association conference earlier the same week, giving water industry professionals the chance to get two events out of the one trip.
The seminar follows on from the highly successful seminar held in Melbourne last July and strong attendance is expected from local councils throughout New South Wales, particular from those who have not previously been to an ASTT event. Some interstate participation is also expected.
Building on the Melbourne seminar, the Sydney seminar will have a more practical focus and attendees will benefit from the experience of those who have gone before them through a series of case studies. Each presentation will include the opportunity to ask questions and some interesting discussions are predicted.
Topics covered will include HDD projects, sewer installation with a variety of lining technologies, contract options for trenchless technology and inspection and condition assessment. The speakers have been selected from the cream of the trenchless industry and are some of the most well regarded and experienced trenchless professionals working today. Specialists such as a contract lawyer from Clayton Utz will put some of the main legal issues associated with contracting into plain English as well.
The event promises to be a worthwhile learning experience and a great opportunity for the industry to meet up and network as well.
