South East Water Corporation is holding an Industry Briefing on a new delivery model for the 2013–2018 capital program.

South East Water is introducing a new model for the delivery of its capital program for 2013–2018 across three main areas: backlog, renewals, and pipes and structures. These programs will require the services of directional drilling, civil, structural, mechanical and electrical contractors and design consultants who are recognised leaders, having best practice expertise in:

  • safety
  • design
  • construction
  • risk management
  • innovation.

The intention of this Industry Briefing is to:

  • explain how South East Water will be procuring its capital program for the next five years
  • provide clarity so organisations can plan for participation in the selection process.

South East Water is holding the Industry Briefing at 10 am on 30 November 2012 at Frankston Arts Centre, Davey Street, Frankston, Victoria, 3199.

Organisations wishing to attend the briefing are requested to limit their number of attendees to two representatives. All attendees are required to register by email to capital.delivery@sew.com.au by 28 November 2012.

New South Wales

Bega Valley Shire Council has two tenders for trenchless projects.

The first tender is for a 2012-2013 sewer mains pipe relining program, involving the inspection, design, manufacture, supply, delivery to site, installation and testing of an acceptable sewer liner for the specified sewer mains. The conduits to be rehabilitated are concrete, PVC, earthenware gravity or AC mains, in a variety of locations in each work area, with approximate total lengths:

  • 318 m in Eden
  • 1,069 m in Pambula
  • 538 m in Pambula Beach

The second tender is for the 2012-2013 sewer mains pipe bursting program. The works involve the inspection, design, manufacture, supply, delivery to site, hydraulic in-situ installation and testing of a polyethelene (or similar product) sewer liner for the specified sewer mains in a variety of locations in each work area, with approximate total lengths:

  • 892 m in Bega
  • 1,319 m in Eden.
