With over 15 years of experience in polycon, Watani’s products combine the traditional properties of concrete along with the high level of corrosion and chemical resistance achieved from the latest polymer resins.
The products consist of up to 90 per cent quartz tic; oven dried fillers, including mineral sands and grit with a grading curve of 0 to 16 mm; and feature polyester resin as a bonding agent.
The proven mechanical and chemical performance of polymer concrete, supplemented with the latest state-of-the-art manufacturing, makes these pipes ideally suited for microtunnelling, pipe jacking and sewer applications in general.Article continues below…
Pipes are manufactured in a full range of sizes to suit the most diverse range of applications and harsh climatic conditions.
Standard stock sizes range from DN 250 and DN 3000 in 1, 2 or 3 metre lengths, dependent upon diameters. Joints for jacking pipes comprise a mounted collar integrated into the pipe wall, either in GRP or stainless steel, with a joint seal of micro-cellular expanded rubber and sealing sections.
Special pipes are available facilitating ports for bentonite injection and inter-jack stations.
